Overview
Embark on the most sacred pilgrimage of Hinduism – the legendary Char Dham Yatra – covering four holy shrines nestled in the majestic Garhwal Himalayas over 12 spiritually enriching days.
Your divine journey begins at Haridwar’s Har-Ki-Pauri, witnessing the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti. Travel through scenic mountain roads to Barkot, your base for the first Dham. Trek 5 km to Yamunotri, the source of sacred Yamuna River, and bathe in the hot waters of Jamnabai Kund before seeking blessings at the ancient temple.
Continue to Uttarkashi, visiting Praketswar Mahadev and Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Rise early for the soul-stirring journey to Gangotri, the second Dham and origin of holy Ganga (Bhagirathi). Take a purifying dip in the icy glacial waters and receive darshan at this revered shrine.
The most challenging yet rewarding part awaits – the 22 km trek to Kedarnath, one of twelve Jyotirlingas and the third Dham. After darshan at this ancient temple surrounded by snow-capped peaks, attend the evening aarti and visit Adi Shankaracharya’s Samadhi. The spiritual energy of Kedarnath is truly transformative.
Journey through five sacred Prayags (river confluences) – Rudraprayag, Karnaprayag, Nandprayag, and Devprayag – each holding immense religious significance. Reach Badrinath, the fourth and final Dham, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Bathe in Tapt Kund’s hot springs, seek darshan, and explore Mana Village near the Indo-Tibet border, visiting Vyas Gufa, Ganesh Gufa, Bhim Pul, and the mythical source of Saraswati River.
Conclude your yatra in Rishikesh, the Yoga Capital, experiencing the divine Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat and crossing the iconic Laxman and Ram Jhulas. Return to Delhi carrying divine blessings and memories of this once-in-a-lifetime spiritual odyssey through the abode of gods.
